We are currently seeking to recruit an Internal Auditor
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
– To assist in the planning and preparation of audit programs.
– To examine financial, accounting, and operating systems of Internal control for adequacy and effectiveness and to ensure compliance with the company’s policies, plans and procedures.
– To examine financial and accounting records and supporting documents to ensure that they are accurately and properly prepared and maintained.
– To prepare audit reports and discuss audit findings and recommendations with the relevant senior officers.
– To assist in the evaluation and development of new accounting and operational systems within the Bank.
– Identify loopholes and recommend risk mitigation measures and cost saving measures.
– To carry out ad hoc investigations and other specific assignments as and when required.
– To assist the external auditors and other regulators during their review of the bank’s operations
– To review and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of Risk Management procedures
– To participate in updating the Internal Audit manual, policies, and procedures
Key Competency Requirements:
– Ability to work under minimum supervision.
– Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
– High attention to detail and excellent analytical and report writing skills.
– Good understanding of Bank processes and procedures.
– Sound independent judgement.
– Team player
Qualifications and Experience required:
– Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Accounting or Finance.
– Minimum of 3years work experience in internal/external auditing of banks or other financial institutions.
– CPA(T)
Reporting line: Chief Internal Auditor
